This is a monograph of Adrian Frutiger, a project assigned in COMD 315 Production Technologies.The design, especially the cover, is primarily inspired by Swiss designs. I kept the color palette quite monochromatic with a pop of blue as the main color. The grey color with a green undertone is used as an accent color, while the off black with a blue undertone is used mainly for the body copy. The palette is all pantone colors. Because of my obsession with the typeface, Univers, I chose Adrian Frutiger as the topic of this monograph. Because making a monograph of solely Univers lacks diversity in subject matter, producing it on the designer who created the typeface is the next best approach to incorporate the typeface. This monograph not only delineate Adrian Fruitiger’s life and success, but also features three of his typefaces, to which of course include Univers, as well as Didot and Avenir.
